AATHIRA RAJEEV, 23, is a Dancer born in India and raised in Dubai. Growing up, she attended high school in a rural part of India, commonly known as ‘Gods own country’ or Kerala. A beautiful little hideaway in the south of the country, Kerala is known for its backwaters and stunning scenery. It’s also known for being an unopened treasure with several creative minds.

NRI dancer Aathira Rajeev talks about her love for B’wood dance and choreographing for the American TV series Jasper and Errol’s First Time. Although Aathira Rajeev lives in the US, her heart lies in Bollywood. An ardent follower of Bollywood dance, this multi-talented girl recently shot to fame when she choreographed an item for Viceland Network’s show Jasper and Errol’s First Time. “Viceland TV’s director for the show contacted me after viewing my Instagram. They saw my works, and agreed that I had a unique style and charisma they wanted for their series,” says Aathira.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aathira Rajeev.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started out in a rural, small part of India. My family later moved to Dubai where I spent most of my life. My parents, we very protective of me and looked out for me by helping me attain a bachelors in Interior Design. My heart was, however, in dance and the arts. I continued to dance in my university and got promoted to dance club president, all the while without my knowing. I got selected for one of Bollywood’s biggest reality dance shows. I told them, and they were happy yet cautious, barely allowing me to rehearse.

Today Indian moves have crossed the national outskirts, and examples in the Indian Diaspora have been likewise broadening their move skylines any place they are at. Aathira Aalinkeel Rajeev is an Actor, Choreographer and Model currently residing in the United States of America. Ethnically Indian and raised in Dubai, UAE, her career began in New York City. She is an Undergraduate of the BA program for Interior Design at Heriot-Watt University and has obtained the Certification as Professional Dancer and Choreographer from Broadway Dance Centre, New York. She is currently in pursuit of a Masters Degree in Acting for Film.
